(Diesel preferred) - CTTRANSIT is in the process of recruiting a heavy-duty mechanic with a min of 3 yrs exp. Specialized schooling may be substituted for a portion of the work exp. Duties include the ability to diagnose & correct mechanical problems in hydraulics, electrical systems, A/C, air brakes & bus mechanic systems. Min qualifications: HS Diploma/GED, valid license (CDL preferred). 3rd Shift $22.75/hr. Hours: Fri-Tues 11:00pm - 7:30am (Wed/Thurs off). Excellent benefit package. PARTS CLERK - 2nd Shift
Duties include staffing the parts counter utilizing bar code equipment, a computer and written manuals. Shipping and receiving activities as assigned, pick up and delivering of parts as required and other duties as assigned by Supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: Good general knowledge of bus/truck and auto parts, components and Mechanical/Electronic system operations. General knowledge of data entry, receiving, transfers and bar coding. Ability to research parts, manuals, etc. Valid CT drivers license and ability to operate forklift and other shipping equipment. Physically able to load and unload deliveries/shipments. Good written and organization skills to complete and maintain forms, manifests, MSDS sheets, etc. Must have HS Diploma/GED. We are seeking a full-time experienced licensed electrical tradesman (minimum 5 yrs exp in commercial or industrial environment) with basic knowledge of facility mechanical systems: HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid transfer systems, carpentry, roofing, painting and masonry skills and automated facility management systems. TRAFFIC SPECIALIST(Part-Time)
CTTRANSIT STAMFORD has an immediate opening for a part time Traffic Specialist position! Duties include conducting passenger counts and schedule checks on the bus during varying times of the day on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Data collection is performed using prepared worksheets and palm pilots. Must be able to collect data by observation on board a bus or outdoors at various locations throughout the system. Position requires some clerical duties in an office environment using calculators, hour/minute machines, copiers, a personal computer and other miscellaneous equipment. Accuracy and attention to detail in report preparation and data collection is essential. Will work varying shifts and schedules during all hours the buses operator. $14.70/hr. HVAC-BUILDING MAINTAINER (1st Shift)
HVAC -- BUILDING MAINTAINER (1st shift)Our Stamford Division is looking for a person who has a CT HVAC trade license (D2) and a minimum 5 years experience working as an HVAC tradesman in a commercial and industrial environment. This position also requires the basic skills and knowledge of facility mechanical systems: HVAC, plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic and fluid transfer systems. The ability to perform tasks in service engineering areas such as: inspection, preventative maintenance, repair, replacement and installation of facility mechanical systems, including all other maintenance duties as required: Carpentry, painting and masonry skills. Hours are Mon-Fri 7:00am-3:30pm (lunch 12:00pm-12:30pm) $23.52/hour. Minimum requirements: High School diploma/GED and drivers license (CDL preferred). We have an EXCELLENT benefit package.
