Local CTtransit and CTfastrak Route Service Changes Effective Sunday, March 12

CTtransit makes schedule changes periodically to improve the overall efficiency of its service. The following service adjustments are effective Sunday, March 12 2023.  For detailed information about all changes, please refer to the updated timetable for your route.

31 – Park Street-New Park Avenue
33 – Park Street-Park Road
Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays

To improve service reliability, Routes 31 & 33 are adopting a new schedule. Please refer to updated printed timetables for more information. All trips on Route 31 will now operate via New Park Avenue and will end at Charter Oak Marketplace. Buses will serve West Hartford Place in the outbound direction only. Service to Kane Street will now be provided by CTfastrak Route 153.

All trips on Route 33 to South Quaker Lane are being extended to Trout Brook Drive.

40 – North Main Street
42 – Barbour Street
Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays

To improve service reliability, Routes 40 & 42 are adopting a new schedule. Please refer to updated printed timetables for more information.

55 – Hartford/Middletown
Weekdays & Saturdays

Due to recent construction in the area of Silvermine Rd., all Route 55 buses will now terminate at the Silver St. Park & Ride.

63 – Hillside Avenue
Weekdays

The 1:07AM trip from New Britain & Hillside to downtown Hartford is being discontinued. Customers will be accommodated by the 1:08AM and 1:14AM inbound trips on Routes 31and 37.

69 – Capitol Avenue
Weekdays & Saturdays

All buses traveling inbound from Capitol Avenue will now end at Main & Gold (buses will no longer continue on to Route 87.)

72 – Asylum Street
Weekdays

To improve service reliability, Route 72 is adopting a new schedule. Please refer to updated printed timetables for more information. In addition, all midday service on Route 72 and the 9:25PM trip in the evening will be extended to Cigna/MetLife.

74 – Granby Street
Weekdays & Saturdays

To improve service reliability, most trips on Route 74 are being adjusted. Please refer to updated printed timetables for more information.

76 – Ashley Street
Weekdays, Saturday & Sundays

To improve service reliability, most trips on Route 74 are being adjusted. Please refer to updated printed timetables for more information.

80 – Buckland Flyer
Saturdays

New trips are being added to the schedule departing downtown Hartford at 10:00AM, 11:00AM and 12:00PM and departing Buckland Hills at 10:25AM, 11:25AM and 12:25PM.

87 – East River Drive/Brewer Street
Weekdays

All inbound trips on weekdays will now operate via the Bulkeley Bridge and will end at Main & Asylum.

121 – MCC/Hartford/UConn Health
Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays

To provide customers with faster service, all return trips from UConn Health will now start from John Dempsey Hospital before picking up at the Outpatient Pavilion.

153 – Elmwood/Copaco
Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays

Route 153 buses are being rerouted to serve Oakwood Ave., Kane St. and CTfastrak Kane St.Station and are being extended to CTfastrak Elmwood Station. As a result of this change, Route 153 buses will no longer operate into West Hartford Place; buses will pick up and drop off on New Park Avenue. 

In addition, Route 153 buses will no longer serve Cigna/MetLife. Service to Cigna/MetLife will be provided by Routes 50 & 72, including additional midday and evening service on Route 72.
