Bus Stop Relocations During Atlantic Street Bridge Project
Stamford Connector Downtown Loop
Beginning on Friday, June 28 and continuing through early September, South State Street in Stamford will be closed to thru traffic at Guernsey Street. Guernsey Street will be converted to one-way northbound to accommodate the Atlantic Street Bridge construction project.
As a result, the bus stop inside the cut-out on South State Street and Lane F at the Transportation Center will be closed. The following alternate bus stops will be in effect:
- Route 327X (Shippan Avenue) will pick up at Lane B at the Transportation Center
- Route 351 (Stamford Connector) will pick up at Lane A at the Transportation Center
Buses will be rerouted to avoid the construction area in order to minimize service delays. As a result, the following service changes will be in effect:
- On weekdays from 5:30 to 8:45am and 3:15 to 6:30pm, Route 321 customers planning to transfer to other bus routes at the Transportation Center or to Metro-North, should plan to exit the bus at the temporary bus stop on Richmond Hill Ave. at RBS.
- Bus service will remain suspended on Dock Street and Station Place in both directions. Routes 327X & 351 will continue to operate via North State Street and Tresser Blvd. instead.
Customers are also reminded that a special schedule will be in effect on the New Haven Line from Sunday, June 30 to Sunday July 7 to accommodate the Atlantic Street Bridge construction project.
