Changes in Destination Sign Information
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) announced April 11 that real-time bus information for CTtransit’s New Haven Division is now available.
With the roll-out of real-time information, an important change was required, which may affect how you catch your bus. Buses traveling inbound on Routes B, D, F, G, J, M, O, Q & Z will now sign-up “Downtown New Haven.” instead of their final destination.
Next trip information will continue to be available in the printed timetables for all routes.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this change in destination signs may cause and appreciate your patience as we work to improve your travel experience.
Real-time information for vehicle locations and arrival/departure predictions is made available for free through data feeds that developers can use to create applications for CTtransit’s New Haven customers. For all routes in the New Haven area, this real-time information is currently available on “Transit,” a comprehensive transit application available for iOS and Android devices. When using “Transit,” riders can swipe left or right on each route to show different directions of travel.
