Commuter tax incentive programs are making a difference to thousands of
employees throughout the state. In addition to monetary rewards,
participants enjoy a less stressful commute and take satisfaction in knowing
they are helping relieve congestion and reducing the environmental impact of
driving alone to work.
Commuter Tax Benefit is Connecticut's program to promote the federal tax law
that allows employees to set aside pre-tax income to pay for commuting
costs.
If you spend at least $100 or more per month on your bus, you may save over
$400 annually on federal and state income taxes alone. For more information,
contact your Human Resources department and ask about Connecticut's Commuter
Tax Benefit program to find out if it has been implemented.
Purchase your passes or tickets online from CTTRANSIT. Pay with your Visa/Mastercard/Discover only.
