24 – Windsor Locks/Bradley Int’l Airport

Weekdays

Buses will now serve the new Windsor Locks Railroad Station, located at 231 Main Street. As a result, Route 24 buses will no longer serve the former station on South Main Street or the Windsor Locks Park & Ride. Customers who presently transfer to Routes 96 or 905 at the Windsor Locks Park & Ride will now make that connection at the new Windsor Locks Railroad Station.

Saturdays & Sundays

We are pleased to announce the introduction of weekend service on Route 24. Buses will operate between the new Windsor Locks Railroad Station and Bradley International Airport Terminal A every 40 minutes from approximately 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. 

 

96 – John Fitch Boulevard

Weekdays

  • Route 96E will now serve the new Windsor Locks Railroad Station. The morning trip from Hartford will arrive at the new station at 6:59 a.m. with a return trip departing at 7:16 a.m. The afternoon trip will arrive at 3:54 p.m. and will depart at 4:16 p.m.
  • As a result, Route 96 will no longer serve the former station on South Main Street or the Windsor Locks Park & Ride. Customers who presently transfer to Routes 24 or 905 at the Windsor Locks Park & Ride will now make that connection at the new Windsor Locks Railroad Station.

 

905 – Hartford/Windsor Locks/Enfield

Weekdays, Saturdays & Sundays

The Enfield Square Park & Ride will close as of Saturday, October 17, 2026. Customers who currently use the Enfield Square Park & Ride are invited to use the Windsor Locks Park & Ride, located off I-91 South at Exit 42, instead. 

As a result, the following route and schedule adjustments will become effective Sunday, October 18, 2026. Please refer to an updated timetable or contact customer service for detailed information.

  • The CTtransit bus stops at Enfield Square and on Phoenix Ave. at Red Roof Inn will be discontinued. Customers traveling to Elm Street and Hazard Avenue will be accommodated by transferring to Enfield Transit’s Magic Carpet service on North Main Street in Thompsonville.
  • Route 905 service to Enfield will continue to operate for the benefit for walk-up customers and to maintain connectivity with Enfield Transit’s Blue & Yellow Lines in Thompsonville and with PVTA Route G5 at Bright Meadow Boulevard.  However, the schedule will be reduced to eight round trips on weekdays and three round trips on weekends. 
  • On weekdays, service to Windsor Locks on Routes 905 & 905W will continue to operate every 20 minutes in the peak direction (to Hartford in the morning, from Hartford in the afternoon). Reverse-peak, midday and weekend service will continue to be provided.
  • In addition to serving Windsor Locks Park & Ride, all 905 & 905W buses will make an additional stop at the new Windsor Locks Railroad Station, where connections will be available with CTtransit Route 24 to Bradley International Airport and Route 96 serving East Windsor, South Windsor & East Hartford.
