General Transit Feed Specification (GTFS) is an open format spec used by hundreds of transit agencies to power transit directions in a variety of Web and transit apps, including Google Maps. The information provided through data feeds includes static schedule and service data using an open standard.
While we provide the data and maintain the sources, we're not able to provide support directly in how to write your software. Please, keep CTtransit information current. We make it easy, we'll let you know when we have new or updated data. Just sign up.

Real-time Data Feeds
We encourage developers to create applications based on these data feeds to provide real-time information to transit riders through the entire CTtransit system statewide.
Real-time data feeds are available for vehicle positions, trip updates, and alerts. These feeds are provided in both GTFS-realtime and JSON formats. Documentation about the GTFS-realtime feeds can be found at https://github.com/google/transit/blob/master/gtfs-realtime/spec/en/reference.md .
Real-time data needs to be combined with GTFS schedule data to be meaningful.
