Buckland Park & Ride parking lot is getting an upgrade

A CTtransit bus Route 913

On the evening of Thursday, October 22, 2026, the Buckland Park & Ride in Manchester will be closed for milling and paving work, prompting the closure of the parking lot through the weekend. All work is expected to be completed by 5 a.m. the following Monday to allow the Park & Ride to begin the week.

All vehicles must be removed from the parking lot before 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 22. Any vehicles remaining in the lot after 8 p.m. may be towed at owner’s expense.

If poor weather forces the project’s postponement, work will begin on Thursday, October 29, instead.

During the closure, Route 913 buses will serve the Shoppes at Buckland Hills as scheduled. After departing the mall, buses will make a street stop outside the Buckland Park & Ride to accommodate walkup customers. Route 913 buses that are not scheduled to stop at the mall will bypass the Buckland Street bus stop.

Customers are encouraged to consider parking at the Spencer Street Park & Ride (Manchester) or Green Circle, Hartford Turnpike or Reservoir Road Park & Rides (Vernon) as alternatives.

Special schedule in effect on Friday, October 23, on Routes 903 and 913

  • To provide customers with additional travel options, the 12:20, 4:15 & 5:15 p.m. trips from Hartford to Willimantic on Route 918 will make an additional stop at the Spencer Street Park & Ride.

Should inclement weather force the project’s postponement, the work will instead begin on Thursday, October 29.
