Express Services
Express fares are based on the number of zones traveled. The minimum fare is 2 zones, the maximum fare is 5 zones. Many express routes operate weekdays during peak hours mostly between suburban Park & Ride lots and downtown Hartford. Several express routes operate 7 days a week.

Effective 8/22/2021, three connector routes: the AH – Asylum Hill Connector, the CB – Columbus Blvd. Connector and the SC – State Capitol Connector will now operate on weekday mornings & afternoons. Routes AH, CB & SC are FREE services designed to connect bus & rail customers with employment destinations in or near the downtown area.

Some trips on Route 906 to the Cromwell Park & Ride will be replaced by trips on Route 919. Service to Cromwell Hills will continue to be provided on a part-time basis.

Due to the current traffic pattern at the University of Hartford, inbound buses will continue to bypass the U of H campus bus stop until further notice. Customers from Simsbury & Bloomfield wishing to travel to U of H should plan to exit at the bus stop on Bloomfield Avenue across from the main entrance instead.
Effective 8/22/2021, the bus stops on Main St. at AutoZone and at Jackson St. & Ash St. will be discontinued. Customers will be accommodated at Main St. & Bank St. and at a new bus stop on High St. at the ECSU campus. Three new trips will be added to the schedule: 6:15am from Hartford to Willimantic and 1:45pm & 5:45pm from Willimantic to Hartford. These trips, as well as the 12:20pm trip from Hartford to Willimantic will also make an additional stop at Manchester Center.

Effective 8/22/2021, the schedule for Route 919 is being adjusted to provide better trip spacing. A midday round-trip to Cromwell & Meriden has also been added to the schedule. All trips on Route 919 will make additional stops at the Country Club Rd. and Cromwell Park & Rides.
September 2, CTDOT announced that three CTtransit Express bus routes serving Hartford will not operate beginning Saturday, September 4. Until further notice, the routes that will not operate are the 921 Middletown-Old Saybrook Express, 923 Bristol Express, and 928 Southington-Cheshire-Waterbury Express. Impacted customers seeking assistance planning their commute should contact CTrides at 1-877-CTrides (1-877-287-4337).

On Route 927, a stop is being added at the Torrington Park & Ride on Christopher Road off CT 8. Buses traveling to Hartford will pick up outside the lot on East Elm St. and buses returning from Hartford will drop off outside the lot on East Main St. The bus stop on John St. in Torrington is being discontinued. Instead, buses will stop on South Main St. outside Torrington Plaza, across from Torrington Library.

A bus stop has been established at Meriden Transit Center on all trips in both directions. Buses traveling to Hartford in the AM and returning from Hartford in the PM will no longer stop at the Country Club Rd. Park & Ride (effective August 2021). This service will now be provided by Route 919. Service from the Country Club Rd. Park & Ride to New Haven in the AM and returning from New Haven in the PM will continue to operate.
