Longterm Detour in Effect for CTfastrak on Wednesday, July 22, 2026

TAKE NOTE: Valued Customers, due to construction along the CTfastrak guideway, there will be a detour in effect for the CTfastrak stations at Newington Junction, Cedar Street, and East Street.

Duration: This 24/7 detour will begin at 4:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 22, 2026 and remain for approximately 4-6 weeks. Please be sure to check back for the latest updates.

Detour Information and Free Shuttles

• Route 101 and 102 Customers traveling to Cedar Street will need to transfer at East Street or Newington Junction. 
• Routes 69, 121, and 144 will continue to service to Cedar Street Station. A FREE shuttle bus will operate between Newington Junction, Cedar Street, and East Street on Weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. only.

• Buses depart East Street Station (Bus Stop C) every 30 minutes from 6:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  making stops at Cedar Street Station (Bus Stop C) and Newington Junction Station (Bus Stop C).
• Buses depart Newington Junction Station (Bus Stop D) every 30 minutes from 6:15 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. making stops at Cedar Street Station (Bus Stop C) and East Street Station (Bus Stop C).

Newington Junction Station

• Platforms A and B will be closed.
• Routes 101, 102, 121,and 125 traveling toward Hartford will stop at Bus Stop C.
• Routes 101 and 102 traveling toward New Britain, Route 121 to UCONN Health, Route 125 to Berlin Turnpike, and the FREE CTfastrak Shuttle will stop at Bus Stop D.

Cedar Street Station

• Platforms A and B will be closed.
• Routes 69, 121 to Hartford, 144 and the FREE CTfastrak Shuttle will stop at Bus Stop C.
• Route 121 to UCONN Health will stop at Bus Stop D.
• Routes 101 and 102 will not stop at Cedar Street Station; please transfer to Routes 69, 121, 144 or the FREE CTfastrak Shuttle at Newington Junction Station or East Street Station.

East Street Station

• Platforms A and B will be closed.
• All buses will pick up and drop off at Bus Stop C in both directions; please check the destination sign of the bus before boarding to make sure you are boarding the bus traveling to your destination.

Expected Delays

• Customers should anticipate possible detour-related service delays on Routes 69, 101, 102, 121, 125, 144, 509, 923, and 928.
